We’ve known this was coming, which is why I’ve been hyper-focused on improving Arizona’s water infrastructure and leading the way on water conservation. A $150 million fund I created during my first term in Congress is already helping Arizona’s rural and tribal communities build new water pipelines and invest in more efficient water treatment. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law builds on those investments by putting millions of dollars towards water conservation efforts in the American West.
And recently, I joined our two senators to convene a meeting here on Capitol Hill with Arizona’s top water leaders to discuss the long-term health of the Colorado River.
