Arizonans understand the unique economic opportunities that come with being a border state.
Mexico has surpassed China as the United States’ top trading partner. By working together with our southern neighbor to address shared priorities related to water, energy and immigration, we continue strengthening Arizona’s economy and future. I helped finalize the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement for increased economic activity with our two largest trading partners. And my bill to improve intergovernmental cooperation with Mexico as we crack down on fentanyl trafficking just passed the House with overwhelming bipartisan support.
I’m also leading legislation in Congress to further develop the semiconductor supply chain and impose sanctions on petroleum imports from adversarial nations.
