WASHINGTON, D.C.—Rep. Greg Stanton issued the following statement today after President Trump signed the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

“In my home state of Arizona, businesses large and small have been eagerly awaiting the certainty the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement promises. Today, they can finally rest assured that this improved North American trade policy will preserve and open up new opportunities with our two largest trading partners. With the USMCA, we have demonstrated that even in the most divided times, Congress can still come together in a bipartisan way to deliver real results.”

In December, after months of advocating for an improved North American trade policy, Rep. Greg Stanton helped push the USMCA to the finish line. The House passed the agreement with a 358 to 41 vote. Earlier this month, the Senate took a similarly bipartisan vote to pass the trade pact 89-10.
