About our internship program

Internships are in-person and run throughout the fall, spring, and summer semesters for undergraduate students. Hours are flexible to accommodate students' course schedules.

Interns play a crucial part in our D.C. and district offices. Responsibilities will vary dependent on each office's needs. In D.C., interns will have the opportunity to engage with the legislative, communications, and scheduling processes of a congressional office by conducting research, preparing written material, and assisting in operational tasks. In the district, interns will gain hands-on experience supporting the Public Advocacy and Public Engagement teams, including by helping process constituent casework, drafting inquiries to federal agencies, and assisting with event preparation and staffing. Additional administrative experience across offices will include answering phones, greeting constituents, and providing general office support.
