WASHINGTON, D.C.—Representative Greg Stanton released the following statement after President Donald Trump’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memorandum, M-25-13, pursuant to which federal agencies will be ordered to stop vast swaths of federal financial assistance to states, families and communities as of 5:00 PM ET on Tuesday, January 28.
“This unprecedented and illegal order will have immediate and dangerous consequences in Arizona. It puts billions of dollars in federal grants at risk—funding that supports our police and fire departments, universities, disaster relief, child care, food assistance and much more.”
