WASHINGTON, D.C.—Rep. Greg Stanton will chair the New Democrat Coalition’s Immigration Task Force in the 118th Congress and, in that role, will push for common-sense, modern immigration reform that will create a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants with deep ties to this country and strengthen Arizona’s economy.
The New Democrat Coalition (NDC) is one of the largest caucuses in the House of Representatives, comprising nearly 100 forward-thinking House Democrats who are committed to working across the aisle to advance pro-economic growth, pro-innovation, and fiscally responsible policies.
“The infrastructure law and the CHIPS Act prove that Congress can still get big things done in a bipartisan way, and immigration should be next on the list. The New Dems are committed to building a fair and inclusive immigration system that reflects our values as a nation of immigrants and strengthens the American economy,” Stanton said. “We’re ready to reach across the aisle, build consensus, and take real action.”
