I was back in Washington today to help pass our third coronavirus response bill-bold, bipartisan legislation that is desperately needed to protect the health and safety of Arizonans.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Rep. Greg Stanton joined his House colleagues today in unanimously passing a historic bill to bring emergency relief to families and small businesses and ensure communities and tribal nations have the resources they need to respond to the global coronavirus pandemic.

The President signed the bipartisan Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act into law this afternoon.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Rep. Greg Stanton pushed for several funding priorities to benefit Arizonans that were included in Congress's historic economic relief bill, which unanimously passed the House earlier today.

Health officials in Arizona are warning that the state may soon be unable to continue testing people for COVID-19 because of a lack of testing kits, and a Democratic congressman is demanding an explanation from the Trump administration.

Arizona still has so few coronavirus test kits that state officials are warning that screening could end, Rep. Greg Stanton said in a Thursday letter to Vice President Mike Pence.

Stanton, a freshman Democrat from Arizona, continued to take the Trump administration to task, saying it continued to "grossly mismanage" the crisis and had "crippled" doctors and nurses with a lack of needed supplies.

Four Arizona House Democrats pressed the Trump administration Friday to urgently provide $120 million in emergency aid to the Indian Health Service after delays in sending money to combat the new coronavirus that is sweeping across tribal communities.

Reps. Ruben Gallego, Raul Grijalva, Tom O'Halleran and Greg Stanton wrote a letter to Alex Azar, the Health and Human Services secretary, arguing that Native Americans have higher incidence of the kind of conditions that make the outbreak more severe.

In the wake of the global coronavirus pandemic, thousands of blood drives have been canceled and the U.S. is facing a shortage of donated blood. Stanton argues that the prohibition on gay and bisexual men that prevents them from donating blood is a policy is not only unnecessary, but also excludes many Americans from answering the call for help.
