WASHINGTON, D.C.-Rep. Greg Stanton today announced that Arizona's 2020 Teacher of the Year Lynette Stant will join him as his guest at Tuesday's State of the Union Address. Each year, members of Congress are permitted one guest to attend the event.

Stant teaches third grade at Salt River Elementary in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. She is the first Native American woman to earn the Arizona Educational Foundation's top honor, one of the highest distinctions for Arizona teachers.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Today, House Leaders presented a comprehensive infrastructure plan that would invest $760 billion over five years and create 10 million new jobs. The "Moving Forward" framework identifies critical investments in America's roads, bridges, transit systems, railways, airports, ports, waterways, wastewater and drinking water systems, brownfields and broadband.

WASHINGTON – Arizona businesses and elected officials hailed Wednesday's signing of the new United States-Mexico-Canada-Agreement that they say preserves markets worth more than $20 billion in trade and 228,000 jobs in the state in 2018.

President Donald Trump, flanked by hard-hatted workers in a White House signing ceremony, hailed the "colossal victory" of the deal, that replaces the 25-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement.

But Democrats also claimed wins in the pact, which they said improves protections for workers and the environment among other things.
