Modernizing our Infrastructure

Arizona is one of the fastest growing states, and as a former mayor of Phoenix and the current Vice Ranking Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I know that improving all forms of transportation will make Arizonans’ lives better--and it’s great for business too. 

That’s why I was so proud to work on the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law—a once in a generation investment to improve our roadways, airports, public transit, and more. I won’t stop working to leverage this legislation for the East Valley, whether it’s heading to Sky Harbor, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway or Valley Metro. 

I’m focused on growing Arizona’s clean energy transit options--expanding the Rio East-Dobson Streetcar and securing $2.3 million for an on-demand public transportation service in the East Valley that will target areas with little to no regular public transit service.

Congressman Greg Stanton says more funding for water infrastructure projects is coming to Arizona.

The $20 million will be dispersed to multiple cities. For example, Tempe will use the money for its Kyrene Reclamation Plant and Flagstaff will use it to create a water retention basin to protect a school from floods related to wildfires.
