Arizona families deserve a strong economy that creates real opportunity for everyone—not just those at the top. 

Driving up economic output starts by supporting the entrepreneurs, small businesses and critical industries in our state. I’m working to do just that across all sectors, including infrastructure, high-tech innovation and education, so Arizonans can secure stable jobs with fair wages and good benefits.

I knew no state stood to benefit more from targeted investments in American semiconductor manufacturing.  And today, our CHIPS and Science Act has created tens of thousands of good paying jobs right here in the Valley. I fought to secure CHIPS funding, including $6.6 billion to open a third semiconductor production facility for TSMC, $8.5 billion for Intel’s construction of a microchip production plant in Chandler, and $39.8 million for research at Arizona State University. And I’m working to bring the global semiconductor supply chain closer to our shores.

This week, Gov. Doug Ducey and U.S. Rep. Greg Stanton, along with trade expert Luis Ramirez, hosted a tele-town hall, which allowed Arizonans to call-in and ask questions.

The call centered around a discussion about the importance of the United States-Mexico-Canada-Agreement (USMCA) as a vote potentially nears. Throughout the conference call, Ducey and Stanton encouraged Arizona citizens to contact their local congressional representatives and implore them to pass the agreement.

U.S. Rep. Greg Stanton, a Democrat from Phoenix and that city's former mayor, held an economic development roundtable with several Yuma leaders Thursday, pledging he will look out for the interests of the entire state.

"Of course, I came here to eat at Lutes Casino," he joked at the start of the meeting, then added, "Obviously the responsibility as a member of the United States Congress is to look out for the entire interest of the state. And this area is incredibly important to the success of the rest of our state."

A resolution in Congress to extend the deadline for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) H.J.Res 38 has five co-sponsors from the Arizona delegation: Rueben Gallego, Raul Grijalva, Ann Kirkpatrick, Greg Stanton, and Tom O'Halleran, all Democrats. The rest of the Arizona delegation have not co-sponsored the extension resolution: Debbie Lesko, Paul Gosar, David Schweikert, and Andy Biggs, all Republicans.

U.S. Rep. Greg Stanton was in Yuma Thursday where he toured the Yuma Border Patrol migrant facility and met with area leaders to talk about the economy.

Congressman Stanton, whose district serves Maricopa County, met with U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officials in Yuma where he was given a tour of the temporary soft-sided tent facility housing migrants. It's the latest in several recent visits by elected officials at the local, state and federal levels. Reporters were not allowed to attend the tour.
