Rep. Greg Stanton today announced new appointments to his Congressional staff in his Washington, D.C. and district office in Phoenix. 

“We’ve built an incredibly strong and qualified team to serve the residents of Arizona’s ninth district and advance our policy priorities,” Stanton said.  “I value the diverse experiences on my team and am confident that together, we’re going work hard and deliver real results back home.”

Seth Scott, Chief of Staff and General Counsel (Phoenix and Washington)
Scott is a native to Arizona and came to the Congressional office from the Mayor’s Office, where he served more than five years—including as Stanton’s Chief of Staff. In 2016, he took a leave of absence to serve as State Director for Secretary Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Over the past two decades, he has served in the offices of Congressman Harry Mitchell, Gov. Janet Napolitano, and Tempe Mayor Neil Giuliano, and the Center for American Progress. Scott earned his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University, where he was a three-time Pedrick Scholar.

Tracee Sutton, Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director (Washington)
Sutton has worked for more than 22 years in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.  Most recently, she served as Legislative Director for Senator Heidi Heitkamp where she was responsible for managing a 15-person legislative team that successfully secured numerous legislative achievements. In 2018, she was recognized by the Congressional Management Foundation as one of its Lifetime Achievement Award finalists for the contributions she has made on the management and operations of Congress.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy from Utah State University.

Larry Sandigo, Director of Outreach, Policy Advisor, and Counsel (Phoenix)
Sandigo is a first-generation American and an Arizona native. He previously worked as an attorney with the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, where he specialized in the intersection of child welfare and immigration law. He serves on local boards and commissions, including the City of Phoenix Youth and Education Commission. He graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in History and earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Nicole Pasteur, Communications Director and Policy Advisor (Washington)
Pasteur relocated to Washington from Phoenix where she served for five years as a policy advisor in Stanton’s mayor’s office. Prior to that, she helped launch a local education technology company that now operates in Phoenix’s Warehouse District. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in Public Administration. 

Eric Chalmers, Senior District Advisor (Phoenix)
Chalmers is a third generation Arizona native, born and raised in Tempe.  His work experience includes several political campaigns, the Senate Committee on the Budget, and a social policy consulting firm specializing in the evaluation of federal grants’ effectiveness.  He graduated from Seattle University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with minors in History and Economics. 

Laura Muñoz Lopez, Legislative Assistant (Washington)
Muñoz Lopez will oversee issues that come before the Judiciary Committee in addition to other legislative priorities. Most recently, she served as a special assistant on the immigration policy team at the Center for American Progress.  Prior to that, she worked for NETWORK Lobby as a government relations associate.  She graduated from the University of St. Francis where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Anna Diederich, Legislative Assistant (Washington)
Diederich will oversee a diverse portfolio of issues including health care, education, defense, veterans and others. Most recently, she was a deputy campaign manager for an open House seat in North Dakota, and prior to that she was a legislative aide for Senator Heidi Heitkamp. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. 

DeAnna Alvarez, Senior Casework Manager (Phoenix)
Alvarez is a native to Arizona’s ninth district, raised in West Mesa. Most recently, she served the constituents of Arizona seventh district, as a constituent service caseworker for Congressman Ruben Gallego. Prior to that, she worked in marketing for a local law firm. She graduated from Arizona State University.
