Rep. Greg Stanton announced that community health centers in Arizona's Ninth District will receive more than $32.2 million from the American Rescue Plan to accelerate vaccine distribution for low income and minority populations. The Department of Health and Human Services named Native Health, Mountain Park Health Center, Valle del Sol, Adelante Healthcare and Terros Inc. to receive funding.

In total, 23 community health centers across the state will receive more than $135 million.

Rep. Greg Stanton will co-chair the New Democrat Coalition's Immigration Task Force and, in that role, will push for common-sense, modern immigration reform that will create a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants with deep ties to this country and strengthen Arizona's economy.

Stanton will co-chair the task force with Congressman Salud Carbajal of California. The New Democrat Coalition (NDC) is made up of more than 90 forward-thinking House Democrats who are committed to pro-economic growth, pro-innovation, and fiscally responsible policies.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler today confirmed that the committee will soon hold a hearing on the impacts of radiation exposure for Downwinders, an issue championed by Rep. Greg Stanton.

Rep. Greg Stanton will introduce a House Resolution commemorating the first Monday in March as "COVID-19 Victims and Survivors Memorial Day" to memorialize those lost and their loved ones, and recognize the suffering of those who still carry unknown health side effects from the virus. To build awareness around the effort, Stanton has partnered with two Arizonans who lost parents to the virus and have been working to honor the more than 500,000 lives lost.
