Congressman Greg Stanton says more funding for water infrastructure projects is coming to Arizona.

The $20 million will be dispersed to multiple cities. For example, Tempe will use the money for its Kyrene Reclamation Plant and Flagstaff will use it to create a water retention basin to protect a school from floods related to wildfires.

A high-ranking United States Department of State official has emphasized the importance of "judicial transparency" for investors ahead of the possible approval of a controversial judicial reform in Mexico.

Brian Nichols, assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere affairs, was asked about President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's proposed judicial reform during an appearance on Wednesday before the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The Mesa-Tempe streetcar expansion will get nearly $16 million in federal funding, a financial lifeline for the project that was left without any funding after being cut from a regional transportation program last year.

Nearly $16 million in federal funds have been set aside for the Rio East-Dobson Streetcar Extension project. Congressman Greg Stanton made the announcement this week.

The project is expected to extend existing track by another 4 miles, from Tempe into Mesa along Rio Salado Parkway.

Greg Stanton's Extreme Weather and Heat Response Modernization Act in an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote. The legislation, introduced with Rep.
