WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) and Representative Greg Stanton (D-AZ) today introduced a bill to accelerate the development of Interstate 11 (I-11) in Arizona.

The legislation would provide new federal assistance to complete the required Tier II Environmental Impact Study for segments of the project.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-On Wednesday, the House passed the final 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which supports a strong national defense and includes two key amendments offered by Rep. Greg Stanton to improve veterans' quality of life. The legislation now heads to the Senate and then to the President's desk for signature.

WASHINGTON-Sen. Martha McSally and Rep. Greg Stanton this week introduced companion bills in both the Senate and the House to expand tourism and recreation in Arizona. The Southwest Tourism Expansion Act would create a pilot program to allow certain visitors from Mexico who already have permission to enter the United States to travel throughout the state of Arizona.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. House leadership announced this morning that an agreement has been reached to advance the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). During his freshman term, Rep. Greg Stanton has been pushing for an improved North American trade policy that would benefit Arizona's economy, and he previously urged a vote by the end of the year.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Last week, President Trump signed into law a bill introduced by freshman Rep. Greg Stanton to permanently extend security protections for Supreme Court Justices outside the court grounds. This is Stanton's first sponsored bill signed into law.

Stanton first introduced H.R. 4258 in September with Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla. It passed the House and Senate in November with unanimous support. In the current Congress, 77 bills have been signed into law to date. Of those bills, only eight were introduced by freshman House Democrats.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-The House Judiciary Committee yesterday advanced the bipartisan Farm Workforce Modernization Act of 2019. Rep. Greg Stanton voted in favor of the bill, which would streamline an important foreign workforce program and provide a pathway for Arizona's agriculture workers to earn legal status.
In his remarks at the markup, Stanton noted the importance of the bill to Arizona's economy-especially in Yuma County, where more than 3,000 workers are certified by the H-2A Temporary Agricultural Labor program.
