"The Arizona Supreme Court has allowed a near-total abortion ban to go into effect – one written before Arizona was a state, before women could vote. Under this extreme law, women will die and their doctors and nurses will be criminalized.

PHOENIX-Today, the Department of Commerce announced that TSMC Arizona Corporation, a subsidiary of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited, will receive $6.6 billion in direct funding from the CHIPS and Science Act, and approximately $5 billion in loans. This funding will support TSMC's investment of more than $65 billion in three greenfield leading-edge fabs in Phoenix, Arizona, which will manufacture the world's most advanced semiconductors.

Today, the Department of Commerce announced that Intel Corporation will receive $8.5 billion in direct funding from the CHIPS and Science Act, in addition to $11 billion in loans. This award will support the construction of Intel's microchip manufacturing plants in America, including in Chandler, Arizona where it will create 6,000 construction jobs and 3,000 manufacturing jobs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Representatives Greg Stanton (AZ-04), David Schweikert (AZ-01), and, Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) sent a letter to IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel urging the agency to reconsider its decision to subject the Arizona Families Tax Rebate Program to federal income taxation. Last year, more than 700,000 Arizona taxpayers were made eligible to receive a one-time tax rebate as the state continues to recover from historic inflation levels that placed severe financial strain on families across the state.

Greg Stanton's Community Project Funding requests, totaling $11.9 million, were included in the minibus appropriations package for Fiscal Year 2024 that passed the House of Representatives.
