Arizona families deserve a health care system that works for everyone--regardless of one’s income or zip code.
That starts with reducing prescription drug costs for seniors, capping insulin at just $35 a month, cracking down on fraud and waste in Medicare’s hospice networks, expanding access to quality healthcare services in the Valley, and protecting insurance coverage for pre-existing conditions.
I’m advocating for the health and wellbeing of all Arizonans in Washington--whether it’s legislation to improve health outcomes for Native Americans and fund Valley Fever vaccine research. That includes restoring a woman’s right to safe, comprehensive reproductive care and protecting access to contraceptives and IVF.

Prescription drug costs are skyrocketing. It's time for Congress to act

It was a long time ago, but I remember like it was yesterday: My parents were on the verge of bankruptcy as they drained their savings to pay for the health care costs of my 11-year-old sister, who was battling a life-threatening illness.
The Mohave County Board of Supervisors today unanimously passed a resolution to support a bill introduced by Rep. Greg Stanton to extend justice to Downwinders in lower Mohave and Clark Counties.
Rep. Greg Stanton announced that community health centers in Arizona's Ninth District will receive more than $32.2 million from the American Rescue Plan to accelerate vaccine distribution for low income and minority populations. The Department of Health and Human Services named Native Health, Mountain Park Health Center, Valle del Sol, Adelante Healthcare and Terros Inc. to receive funding.
In total, 23 community health centers across the state will receive more than $135 million.
