PHOENIX-Rep. Greg Stanton issued the following statement on the passing of Arizona's 20th Governor Jane Dee Hull and Dr. Terry Hull.

"Arizona has lost a pair of extraordinary leaders in former Governor Jane Dee Hull and Dr. Terry Hull. The Hulls were dedicated to making their community better-and did so through decades of public service.

PHOENIX-U.S. Reps. Greg Stanton and Ruben Gallego today urged companies who supply essential personal protective equipment (PPE) to forgo profit on life-saving goods sold to first responders, doctors and nurses who are on the front lines battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pair sent letters to executives at two suppliers who in recent weeks have raised prices for N95 masks to about 600 percent higher than normal.

PHOENIX-Arizona's airports will see hundreds of millions of dollars in COVID-19 aid after Rep. Greg Stanton advocated for much-needed funds in the CARES Act. Specifically, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was awarded $147,883,988, and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport was awarded $20,530,276. In total, airports in the state will get more than $224 million in emergency funds provided by the CARES Act.

PHOENIX-Yesterday, the Department of Health and Human Services announced that community health centers in Arizona's 9th district will receive $5.88 million in CARES Act funds for coronavirus response efforts. Native Health, Mountain Park Health Center, Valle del Sol, Adelante Healthcare and Terros will all receive grant funding.

PHOENIX-Reps. Greg Stanton and Ruben Gallego today demanded Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich to prioritize the safety of health care workers and public safety officers and stop medical supply vendors and manufacturers from price gouging.

In a letter to Brnovich, the Congressmen write, "As Arizona's top law enforcement officer, we believe that you can and should do much more to ensure that nobody profits from this or any other state emergency."

PHOENIX-A national vendor of public safety equipment has agreed to sell N95 and KN95 masks at no profit after Reps. Greg Stanton and Ruben Gallego called for a federal investigation into vendors charging first responders for personal protective equipment at rates as high as 600 percent more than just two weeks ago.

Galls, a Lexington, Ky.-based provider, today pledged that the company "will not profit from the sale of these protective masks to our first responders and public safety partners."
