WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Greg Stanton (AZ-04) led U.S. Representatives Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03) and Adelita Grijalva (AZ-07) on two letters demanding answers about the recent $313.4 million contract awarded to GardaWorld Federal Services LLC (GardaWorld) by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to renovate the Surprise, Arizona immigration facility.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Greg Stanton (D-Ariz.) sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons demanding a full and transparent accounting of the death of Emmanuel Damas, a Haitian national detained at the Florence Service Processing Center in Arizona.

“I spoke to Emmanuel Damas’s brother this morning to offer my sincere condolences. His family deserves answers and accountability, and I will not stop pushing until ICE provides it,” Stanton said.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two bipartisan bills led by U.S. Representative Greg Stanton (D-Ariz.) to strengthen federal oversight and improve safety at federal buildings passed the House unanimously this week. Both measures now head to the Senate.

Stanton serves as the Ranking Member on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management with jurisdiction over federal property.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, the House passed H.J.Res. 72, a resolution U.S. Representative Greg Stanton (D-Ariz.) led to terminate Trump's national emergency used to impose tariffs on Canada. Six Republicans crossed the aisle to vote with Democrats, a bipartisan rebuke of the President's chaotic trade war. Stanton will move next to pass H.J.Res. 73, a resolution terminating Trump's tariffs on Mexico, Arizona and America's largest trading partner.
