WASHINGTON, D.C.—Following reporting by The Atlantic showing the Trump Administration's Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz shared classified war plans over the commercial messaging app Signal, Rep. Greg Stanton released the following statement:
“Hegseth and Waltz shared classified and detailed attack plans in an unsecured chat—information that could have cost American servicemembers their lives—and then lied about it to the public. This was gross incompetence at the highest level, and there must be accountability.
They must resign or be fired.”
