If you have suffered financially due to the coronavirus and struggle to pay rent, there is still help available in our district.

It’s the beginning of the month, and once again, many families in our community are struggling to pay rent. As Arizona and local governments work to get emergency rental assistance to those in need, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have extended their eviction moratorium through June 30, 2021 to help struggling families remain in their homes.

Today, hundreds of thousands of Arizonans are out of a job or working fewer hours because of the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving many under immense financial strain. In the face of so much uncertainty, no one should have to worry about losing their home or not being able to feed their family.

You usually hear from me in my capacity as a Congressman, but I’m first and foremost a dad to two grade-schoolers. Talking to our kids about the coronavirus and maintaining any sense of normalcy at home has been a challenge for so many parents and caregivers. There’s no playbook for parenting during a global pandemic.
