Today, Congressman and Congressional Valley Fever Task Force Co-Chair Kevin McCarthy, Senator Martha McSally, Congressman and Congressional Valley Fever Task Force Co-Chair David Schweikert, Congresswoman Karen Bass, Congressman Greg Stanton, and Senator Kyrsten Sinema, introduced H.R. 2858 and S. 1567, the Finding Orphan-disease Remedies with Antifungal Research and Development (FORWARD) Act. This legislation would address the short-term, medium-term, and long-term challenges to detecting, treating, and eventually eradicating Valley Fever.

The bipartisan Lessening Addiction by Enhancing Labeling Opioids Act was introduced in the Senate today by Senators Edward Markey of Massachusetts and Mike Braun of Indiana—Stanton’s bill is the Act’s companion in the House.
